How to dry yourself (without a towel)
a step-by-step guide for dummies

Step 1: Get wet
Step 2: Find the Hand Dryer, better if its automatic
Step 3: Try to remove it
Step 4: Aim it in your direction, but at least 30cm away, you don't want no burns now yea
Step 5: Re-attach it
Step 6: Spit

in the event that the dryer cannot be removed, skip steps 3 and 5.
and commence step 6 with caution.

Rockmaster - 4 days time

Okay. training at this period should be coming to somesort of a standstill? i don't know. Its because of rockmaster that there's no time to train for rockmaster. anyway, training now is purely mental, to get ur strength up and endurance up at this point of time is.. well, not gonna help much. So guys, if you're free on thurs, fri.. friday especially, go help get the gym ready for the big day 12th may.

If you see 2 chinese men holding hands & you call em "gays", what do you call 10 Chinese men holding hands?
--->CHINGAY!!

Monday, May 7, 2007

I bought GIGABITE chalk.

Go climb, get a life, stop living like the horrific dead. i don't expect too much.
and if you wana sign up for rockmaster 07 do it soon.
i shall go sleep and wake up awake tomorrow feeling refreshed, like as though that will happen, waking up feeling awake. haha. i have very bad waking-up-and-be-on-time-discipline. seriously, its time for a change, even if its a small one to start with.

Solitary - why solitaire is only played by one

Tuesday, April 10, 2007

Its been some time, alot has happened that i guess deserve a post here.
first off the 12hr hike on ophir, was a blast. i would say it brought me closer to discovering myself.the experience itself was worth the trip.man on mountain, the unpredictable happens sometimes. we had great company too.

MM FO camp, crazy bunch of dudes won't forget you guys eh. can i say we enjoyed ourselves although there were many 'humps' along the way. haha. gay camp whatever u wana call it, fun camp.its just becomes easier to realise a person's character through camps and stuff like such, words can't really explain this. really. lack of sleep ignites the crankiness, we began to mutter ridiculous mutterings, or rather i began to. well, here are some of the programs;

station games - lots of waiting. yea. i tink the teams got their attitude there, although some persuasion is needed sometimes.

nightwalk - i believe this was.. no unsuccessful is not the right word for this. rather, its a lesson to learn. if u can't be scary, then be funny.

campfire - great skits, great faggots, great fire. wooooo!

disco night - not too much to elaborate here.actions says it all. first time i hear people sing on the dance floor.
i guess that sums it up..kinda.

If thoughts can't be put through verbally with clarity, remain silent.
think you're right? think again.

Off to ophir! Screw everything else!

Wednesday, March 28, 2007

Darn. the chalet was a blast.long time no see you guys but still almost the same. ahaha.
2 nights of chalet-ing, which involves mostly slacking, eating, and *ahem* watching people dance(ahh the last night).and seeing weeter drunk reminds me of luke a.k.a. monkey god. anyway it was a great time, can't say much about the place but the company is what matters.and denan, the way we jumped on you is exactly how a team would celebrate when a goal is scored during a world cup, so try to feel happy somehow. the food was great, bbq was great even though it rained, and we played games after games of pool. happy times(say it the borat way). hahaha.

And here's the end of 3 days of intensive, adrenaline-rushin', heart-thumping, pumping days of boulderactive 2007. I would take this opportunity to thank all those who came support our fellow SPRC climbers. Although we did not win anything, our spirit won us 1st prize.let us be proud of ourselves and not go home and cry and become like pussycats. we are not pussycats, we are monkeys. monkeys do not behave like pussycats, keep that in mind.now on to... rockmaster!

You. the one reading this. do you watch smackdown?raw?wrestlemania? If you don't.. then go WATCH! no la its up to you. If you do, guess who's the referee for the battle of the billionaire - 'who-loses-shave-bald' match.its not everyday u see a billionaire bald. The referee was thought to be Mick Foley.the look on Vince Mcmahon's face is priceless sia. like some dumb f*ck kena struck by lightning. and he offered mick foley's job back and got humiliated (this is just the first) when he found out he was just a ref for some chimpanzee vs i-duno-what match which does not involve wrestling in a ring. then shane mcmahon(money money) came with the bad news of course. you see, the bad guy doesn't always win. corruption ain't getting you nowhere vince. ANd the special referee is.. who else but rick flair. woo! no la its stone cold steve austin. 3:16. Stone Cold Steve Austin. and not leaving until he humiliates vince with his infamous beer bam right in the face. and of course by now you should know all this is well-written in a script which is probably rehearsed several times before the real thing.. right?

This post is to inform the general public that what you see on TV might not always be real. Please..... do not try this at home. (yea, the beer bam, especially not on your parents of course)

My life seems to have deteriorated to some sort of a stagnant pace these few days. maybe its because of the days which i wake up in the afternns and then i'll feel damn lethargic for the entire day.i'm getting to feel more awake in the night man.

Its been a few days since i climbed, i guess i'm going to sch today again.do more routes, maybe do power sets. boulderactive seems to be approaching but i don't really feel the need to train rigorously for it. i think its just fine that climbing should be done like how it always has used to be for me. besides if there's to be training for a competition, it wud be too late to start now. fer sure.

Went the IT show today w/ denan. real crowded. and the place was like a dump.
laptops, digicams, HD TVs galore and people were grinding all over the place, i'm kidding.
Got a whole lot of brochures, and the bargains are not bad. DVDs at around 50cents per piece, cheap. Well, if you're thinking of going.. it ends tomorrow 11 Mar.

Damn tiring day, but at least i'm free now. sort of.
Sign up for boulderactive peeps.

Wake up. go to school. T12101A. Stare at computer screen until 5pm. sometimes 6.
cool life huh.

The gym design looks like reminds me of some competition wall from a video, but pretty good. And the volume looks more appropriate on the 45deg. Well the gym belongs to everyone who uses it. And everyone who uses it should do a part to help.

2 sides in a story, i just can't get to the right side.

Friday, February 23, 2007

The rock gym gonna be closed for abt 1 week due to wet paint, sad. so find other sources to fuel my adrenaline.

Had dinner at swensen's today, treat from my aunt, so i treated her ben & jerry's. Asked why 12yr old cousin doesn't like ice-cream, since i thought all kids liked em', and he told me he preferred salty stuff, and wouldn't mind salty ice-cream. haha.
Its almost been 2 weeks into the course, and tomorrow shall mark the end of 1 module. and 2 more weeks to go. wahaha. mind over matter.

Anyway. problems come and go, there are neverending. if they end, i think i'll have been dead. what's life without problems? life without a struggle would probably a really dull life. so maybe we should complain less about our struggles. or rather go for the solutions.

I've came to realise how many people write what they do, their daily what-so-evers in their blogs, but not most of em' are really interesting to read, especially if their mostly routine stuff. like denan says, blogs are for recordin memorable stuff which has happened in your life, just in case one day your brain decides to erase them off your memory. Thinking about it, it can be pretty useful when your girlfriend decides to ask you questions like when is your anniversary and blah blah. Imagine if you can't come up with an answer. ohh. i rather not imagine it.

And it ends here. or not.

Today being the first day of the year of the pig, its.. in my point of view one of the most boring chinese new year first-days i had. Went to visit my grandma then my other grandma's sister. That's about it. My two cousins only came awhile in the morning, then ciao to the husband/boyfriend's house or smth ah.i duno. Got 4 12"pizzas for lunch and wth. we cudn't finish it.

So my angbao collection has not reached its peak yet. haha. anyway that's just a part of the celebrations. The mood of Chinese New Year doesn't really seem to be there yet, i think there needs to be a whole lota company to make it really meaningful and interesting. And fireworks banned in S'pore, so no choice go elsewhere to set them off. hahaha.

Oh and wishing all you people out there, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, a Happy Chinese New Year. woohoo.

Studying 8-5 everyday, holidays in 3 weeks time, its not too bad actually.

Unexpected things happen all the time, and something unexpected happened 3 days ago.

Darren's lung collapsed, ended him up in hospital. I was shock, taken aback. More likely from why he was alright one moment and into the hospital another. Just that day, we went for a run at the stadium, and i went back with him after that. We were talking, but he was just giving me 'one-word' replies. I tot he was tired, so halfway through i went to take the train. Next day, got notice that he went to hospital about minutes after i said 'bye' to him.

Then went to visit him at the hospital the next day, he told us about the tube inserting into his lung. sheesh. Unpleasant, i don't think thats even strong enough to describe it. Imagine a tube inserted into ur lung through your body while u're still concious. I heard his mum cried. How would you feel is you had to see your child suffering and there's nothing you can do. But it was great to see him being able to talk, eat, doing simple things in life which many of us often take advantage of.

After his discharge from hospital, went to visit him again. This time, darren, u look more ok. haha. But rmb, dun get discouraged. You will get well and you can do the things which you wana do. Always keep a strong mind, and believe in yourself.

Tomorrow is Valentines Day. Woohooo

I'm gonna find you, Denan. hahaha

Its gonna be fun tomorrow, for many couples that is. I think i should go find some girls, i've been around dudes too much ever since i've joined SP, especially those in my class. The yin yang in my system not balanced already. Not enough female essence in my life. arrrhh.
Even though now got 2 girls in my new class, but still gotta find more.. MORE!!!
Sorry i hope that didn't scare many of you

Saturday, February 10, 2007

The run during the afternn was pretty good, was shagged and our famished bodies told us that we had to eat.
So rushed home, rushed out. Yaki n Yuki was the place, i don't really know why they gave it that name. haha. Sounds quite unique. So ok la, the food not bad. I think we ate lots of meat. Chicken meat. Fish meat. Beef meat. Scallop meat. Otah meat. and so on.

So we got to mark's place and we drank and talked crap. Then we did some crappy stuff, but quite enjoyable ar. Only thing is that i can see many of em' are damn tired so we left at around 11.10

On the way back on cab, me, o-liver, de-nan passed by the ECP and then got jam.
Wa? This time still got jam. So there probably has been some kinda accident or something.
As the driver drove on, we reached the place where the accident occured ah.
and the accident was SERIOUS. How serious?
Two cars kena. O-liver guessed one car skidded off the 2nd lane, hit the left barricade and i think somehow another car got affected. One of the car's had its front part ripped apart, as well as the bumper badly damaged. And another car crashed onto the right barricade of the road, the side of it badly damaged.

Fire truck came.
Ambulance came.
Tow truck came.
And i can't believe other taxi drivers still had the guts to overtake other vehicles in the jam by going by the left shoulder. Wth man, accident just happened and that lane only for ambulance or emergency vehicles ah.

Anyway it was fierce. But it gave a harsh reminder on how fragile life is, and are we just gona let our lives just fade away.
Are we given a life to just let if fade away, or to treasure every moment of it?
For myself, I don't treasure every moment of my life, maybe not just yet.
But why is it that in times of trouble that people seem to find the best in themselves or others?
and it is in times of trouble where we realise how weak we are no matter how strong we may seem, and then it becomes up to us if we can transform this weakness to our advantage.

fooooo.. exams over sia.
on to one more month of school and then gonna have my break.

Alot of things i've seen, heard, felt, tasted and smelt since i've last put in an entry. I've been on some kinda like a routine this week man. Gym, run, gym, run. oh - and climb =D. Climbing is what gives pushes me to my limit in more ways than 1. It really tests your ability on how strong a person can be mentally, much more than physically. You can be damn strong, but that doesn't mean you can climb.

Gonna be running later again with nimp, wolf, liver, yeo.. This time i wana really make sure not I really push myself, but the others as well. I care for my friends hahaha. But i think mr.wolf, this is a message to you.. I know you can do better, but you really have to go beyond your limits at times. In the long term, it won't be just good for building up body or losing weight, you'll see you'll see.

Ah btw, anyone interested in climbing Mt. Ophir?

Was at the airport today, checking out people and studying. Maths is fun yea hahayea.

Tomorrow is the maths paper, materials was ok, not too bad. Past year papers are really useful.
Don't study until your brain fails, its not good. really its not. this is very good advice. indeed.

Learn to be more patient, then you will be more wise. right.

Wednesday, January 24, 2007

Exams are in a weeks time. I haven't studied much.

I need to do more, I'm delaying things which should be done.
Not just studying for exams, but goals which i should have been working towards.. I've yet to be working towards them.

Vertical Limit is a nice show. Watched it on a dvd, and I should say, It will keep you on the edges of your seat.

Pretty slack at home when there's no lessons today. I think it was a wasted day man. Its depressing to see that you waste your day just like that. 1 day of your life, passes just like that. I think there's no time for wasting days, it time to do something about my everydays. rhyme huh.

Two days ago, 16th Jan. Tuesday la. I saw MUSE, Live! Fort Canning Park.

It was freaking awesome. The crowd, the atmosphere.. most importantly, Muse. Even 1+ hour before it started, the queue outside was damn long sia. We got in around 7, but managed to get around the front few rows.. around the 5th or 6th. And when the band came out. BAM! Chaos everywhere. People pushing everywhere, pulling, some even stripping. Whatever it was, we just got impatient. I still remembered the first song, Knights of Cydoria, if i'm not wrong.
Mr. Dean was waiting for Starlight. "STARLIGHT! OI I WANT STARLIGHT!". I was also waiting for that, and stockholm syndrome. I think Stockholm Syndrome is an amazing song, the way the guitar is played, the piano is played, drum is played.. wah lau eh. Just great ar.
The whole crowd got high when they played Time Is Running Out, guess it was their most popular song.

Worked for about 4hrs today, while Dean refused to give me his lucky draw prize. hahaha.
Real lucky to have gotten that man. =)

Saturday-ay

I have yet to do my book reviews, they are due in 2 days time. I have only read 2 books. hahahaha.

Went to the sembawang yacht club today, nice place man i tell u.
Realised i'm not the only one who wanted out from the mm club. Its like a political battle going on in there, and i don't wana be part of it. Furthermore, there are other commitments. Yes. other commitments that i feel i would commit to in my life. For me right now, many misunderstandings are cleared. Or are they? Nice place thou, sembawang yacht club...

And today, i met a girl whose name was Alan.

A day of life-changing events (sort of)... and my first post

Today was one of the days where things which don't happen normally to you on normal days happen.
One of them was in school. The intention was not to buy the ticket, you see. Well of course, not many will know. But the issue is pretty sensitive, as it involves money. But more importantly, issues of principles. Well, i daren't deny i'm partly at fault. Issues of commitment has been raised, i've put my point across, i'm not commited. Probably i'm too late. Anyway, most importantly, learn from your mistakes.

Heard about an attempted theft today in sorts. Seems like a couple of swindlers out on the loose. hahaha.
The Lego Shop, well i work there but in the shop in Ngee Ann, not Plaza Sing. There was this guy. He wore khakis. He wore a white t-shirt. Ok, he tried to switch one of the $300+ boxes on the shelves with another one of the exact boxes with i-dun-know-what-the-heck-is-in-there. But anyway, this is still considered theft. You're gonna take something which doesn't belong to you. So of course, my colleague stopped him. But not long enough till the security guard came. I think he had done a great job really. My colleague that is, not the guard. For someone who is not trained in such situations, I believed he maintained his cool and managed to prevent a theft. Also, great thanks to the 20-plus-year-old dude who helped by drowning the conman with vulgarities till he felt guilty and ran. But it seemed the conman went to try his luck at ngee ann. Pity he wasn't caught. Anyway, its important that we know what's right and stand by what we believe.

Again at PS, Mr.Dean decided to step outside the shop for a walk. Somehow i think this guy had Psi abilities. Telling me he sensed something was not right. Suddenly he just ran into the shop again shouting, "Someone outside just got fits!" It was a customer in da secret recipes shop. Yes of course, we panicked. I tried to relax the guy with 2 of their staff. And i don't know why i had to tell them 3 or 4 times to turn that guy on his side. They ignored. I still felt shaky as this is the 1st time i've seen a person get fits in front of me. He seemed much relaxed after awhile so i decided to just let them be. Got him onto a chair. Then got him to relax. Paramedics came in.. 5 mins? pretty fast.

Experienced alot of stuff today, really. Don't get to see such things happen everyday, and it might not be nice to see such things happen everyday either.
